The group of works proposed for the Maritime Museum of Barcelona deal with notions of journey and the processes involved: journeys to places, factual or imaginary ones, that occur in time and space and are represented in various ways.
The stories gathered in this selected group of art works attempt to provoke existential journeys in the spectators as they allow the appearance of questions around individual or collective transformations.
During journeys or because of them, some things change while some others are specially kept. Why does it happen? May be we will not find the answer in these works as artists are reluctant to give any, but there is also a richness derived from the smart questions art allows to come up.
